The transaction, expected to close in Q3 2026 upon regulatory approvals, will establish a new Merchant Acquiring Center of Excellence in Spain.

Euronet has entered into an agreement to acquire PaynoPain, a Spanish fintech specializing in digital-first payment solutions for SMEs, hospitality, microfinance and e-commerce platforms. The transaction includes PaynoPain’s merchant portfolio and Bank of Spain–authorized payment service provider license and is expected to close in Q3 2026, subject to regulatory approvals.
2. Strategic Expansion and Integration
This acquisition strengthens Euronet’s direct merchant acquiring footprint in Spain and Portugal and supports global omnichannel online payment offerings. As part of the deal, Euronet will establish a Merchant Acquiring Center of Excellence in Spain to integrate PaynoPain’s technology with Euronet’s existing in-store and digital payment infrastructure.
