Europe gasoline refining margins fall
USO•Northwest European gasoline refining margins fell by more than $5 to $40.63 a barrel on Friday after the G7 decided to release diesel and other reserves.
1. Margins and trading
The Ebob crack margin fell to $40.63 a barrel from $46.08. ExxonMobil sold 2,000 metric tons of E5 gasoline barges to Trafigura and 2,000 tons of E10 barges to Varo.
2. Supply developments
The G7 said it would coordinate a release of 100 million barrels of diesel and other reserves through the International Energy Agency to try to stabilize energy markets. China suspended oil-products exports this month to regions beyond Hong Kong and Macau. Russian refineries processed 14% less oil in the first nine months of the year than in the same period of 2025, amid Ukrainian drone attacks, according to calculations by two industry sources.
