Everpure Unveils Portworx Plugin 2.2 for Native OpenShift Storage and Edge

Everpure launched Portworx Plugin 2.2 for Red Hat OpenShift, integrating storage management, data protection and disaster recovery for containers and VMs within the OpenShift console. The release, available with Portworx Enterprise 3.6 and Backup 2.11, adds edge support for automated data protection and encryption on two-to-five node Kubernetes clusters.

1. Native Kubernetes Data Management

Everpure has integrated Portworx Plugin 2.2 directly into the Red Hat OpenShift console, enabling teams to manage storage, data protection and disaster recovery for containers and VMs without using external command-line tools. This streamlined interface aims to accelerate infrastructure modernization by providing turnkey Kubernetes-native data services.

2. Edge Infrastructure Support

The update extends Portworx for Edge to two-to-five node Kubernetes clusters, offering automated data protection and encryption at the edge. This capability ensures local data sovereignty and compliance, while reducing operational complexity for remote and distributed environments.

3. Availability and Version Rollout

Portworx Plugin 2.2, Portworx Enterprise 3.6 and Portworx Backup 2.11 are available immediately. These releases support hybrid cloud, on-premises and edge deployments, giving enterprises a unified platform for AI workloads, stateful applications and disaster recovery orchestration.
