Evolve Birth Control Cuts Urban Rodent Tracking Plate Presence up to 79%
SenesTech’s five-month Evolve® Rat Birth Control deployment in an April 2025 urban trial cut tracking plate presence from 74% to 15%, a 79% decline, and slashed track density by 88%. During a second August 2025 trial, plate presence fell from 98% to 47%, with track density dropping 71%.
1. April 2025 Urban Trial Results
In Location A, Evolve® placement began in April 2025 and tracking plates monitored from August 2025 to January 2026 showed plate presence drop from 74% to 15% and track density decline of 88% over five months.
2. August 2025 Baseline Comparison Trial
In Location B, a baseline survey in August 2025 recorded 98% plate presence, which fell to 47% by January 2026, while track density decreased by 71% after five months of Evolve deployments.
3. Field Methodology and Adoption Potential
Rodent activity was assessed via standardized tracking plates at regular intervals under urban conditions, offering objective measures of presence and density that can guide pest managers and municipalities in adopting fertility control strategies.
