Ex-Fox legal head Dinh joins law firm Sullivan & Cromwell

Sept. 8 (Reuters) - Former top Fox Corp lawyer Viet Dinh is joining Sullivan & Cromwell, the Wall Street law firm said on Tuesday, three years after Dinh departed Fox in the wake of its $787.5 million settlement with Dominion Voting Systems.

Sullivan & Cromwell co-chairs Robert Giuffra and Scott Miller said in a statement that Dinh would assist the firm's clients in their "most consequential strategic, transactional and crisis-management matters.”

Dinh was the chief legal and policy officer at Fox and part of its senior management team when it agreed in April 2023 to settle Dominion's claims that it was defamed by false vote-rigging claims that were aired by the news outlet known for its roster of conservative commentators. Dinh left Fox at the end of 2023 but continued to advise its leadership, Sullivan & Cromwell said. He will be a partner in the firm's Los Angeles office.
