EXEL•FDA extends review of Exelixis cancer drug combination
Shares of drug maker Exelixis (EXEL.O) fell 3.3% to $55.52 premarket.
The company said the U.S. FDA extended the review of its experimental colorectal cancer drug combination by three months.
The regulator is expected to make its decision by March 3, 2027, after the company submitted updated safety and efficacy data that the regulator deemed a major amendment.
Exelixis is seeking approval for the drug zanzalintinib with Roche's (ROPC.S) immunotherapy Tecentriq.
Tecentriq focuses on treatment of a subset of adult patients with metastatic colorectal cancer.
As of the last close, the stock was up 31% year to date, on track for four consecutive years of gains.
