Exor sold 100% of Gedi Gruppo Editoriale—parent of La Repubblica, HuffPost Italia, National Geographic Italia, Limes, Radio Deejay, Radio Capital, m2o and the Manzoni advertising agency—to K Group while excluding La Stampa, its printing center, commercial network and Stardust.

2. Portfolio Simplification Strategy

The sale is part of Exor’s broader plan to streamline its portfolio, concentrating on larger companies where it can create greater value, in line with CEO John Elkann’s emphasis on sharpening priorities and capital focus.

3. Financial Implications and Future Investments

Exor expects four divestitures—including Gedi, Iveco, Lifenet and Nuo—to generate €2.0 billion at over 1.4× invested capital this year, raising deployable cash to more than €3.5 billion and positioning the group for a major new investment comparable in scale to Philips.
