Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh used his keynote address at the annual economic symposium in Jackson Hole, Wyoming to explain his views of the economy and his plans as the new central bank head.
In his address, he said the central bank will "have work to do" if policymakers are not confident that underlying inflation is returning to its 2% target.

WASHINGTON, Aug. 28 (Reuters Breakingviews) - At the Jackson Hole confab, central bank chief Kevin Warsh finally clarified how he views the imperative of fighting still-high inflation. Thing is, his taciturn strategy of getting out of the way of market signals is being trampled on by Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent.
