FedEx opens Košice logistics facility in Slovakia, expanding eastern region network

FedEx opened a new logistics facility in Košice, Slovakia, expanding capacity and service scope in eastern Slovakia.

The site spans nearly 1,000 sq m, making it the country’s second-largest FedEx location, with 18 pick-up and delivery docks.

The facility adds palletized freight handling with direct long-haul connectivity, broadening access to European and global routes.

Operational changes cut international processing times by 50%, with drivers leaving about 45 minutes earlier, supporting faster deliveries.

FedEx employs more than 180 staff in Slovakia, operating eight facilities nationwide, with recent openings in Nitra and Trenčín.
