TLT•Federal Reserve Vice Chair for Supervision Michelle Bowman said the Fed can wait to assess financial markets and the economy before deciding on further action. The Fed raised its policy rate by a quarter percentage point last month, to a range of 3.75%-4.00%.
Bowman said she sees no urgency for further action and that the Fed needs time to understand how financial markets and the economy evolve after its September rate increase. The Fed raised its policy rate by a quarter percentage point to a range of 3.75%-4.00%.
Bowman said the central bank considers capital used to build data centers, including funding from banks and other sources. She also called for a “complete reorganization” to improve Fed supervision and accountability following the collapse of Silicon Valley Bank.
