Fed's Williams reportedly sees no need for rate hike in 2027

New York Federal Reserve President John Williams reportedly said one more interest-rate hike is appropriate this year, but he does not currently expect another increase to be necessary in 2027. He said inflation could slow “quite a bit” and approach the Fed’s 2% target next year.
