On January 10, 2026, EADSY officially handed over the first A350-1000 to Taiwan’s STARLUX Airlines, marking a milestone in its long-haul widebody expansion. The aircraft, configured with 331 seats across three classes and capable of flying up to 8,700 nautical miles, will enable STARLUX to launch non-stop services to North America by mid-year. This delivery lifts the A350-1000 fleet to 65 aircraft in service globally and brings EADSY’s total A350 backlog to 210 units, reflecting robust customer demand for fuel-efficient, twin-engine long-range jets. With a 25% reduction in fuel burn per seat compared with previous generation widebodies, the A350-1000 program continues to support carriers’ profitability targets amid rising fuel and operating costs.
