First Commonwealth Financial Corporation has named Ryan L. Gorney as Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer, effective April 27. Gorney will report to President and CEO T. Michael Price and succeeds Norm Montgomery, who will retire on May 1.
2. Professional Background
Gorney has over 20 years of technology leadership across banking, fintech and professional services. He served as Chief Information Officer of Primis Bank and Chief Technology Officer of Panacea Financial, leading core banking strategy, operations modernization and digital delivery initiatives.
3. Strategic Focus
In his new role, Gorney will oversee the bank’s IT operations, digital strategy and enterprise transformation initiatives. His mandate includes driving scalable growth, enhancing regulatory compliance and improving operational efficiency across First Commonwealth’s network of 126 branches.
