First Western reports higher second-quarter profit and EPS
First Western posted 2Q26 net income available to common shareholders of $5.7 million, more than doubled from 2Q25; diluted EPS rose to $0.57.
Pre-tax, pre-provision net income climbed 36% year over year to $6.93 million; the quarter included a $380,000 technology asset write-off.
Net interest income increased 21.7% from 2Q25 to $21.76 million; net interest margin widened 23 basis points to 2.9%.
Total deposits edged up 0.4% sequentially to $2.85 billion; average noninterest-bearing deposits rose 5.1% to $365.3 million.
Total loans held for investment increased $23.1 million sequentially to $2.71 billion; non-performing assets held at 0.5% of total assets with no charge-offs.
