FirstEnergy Pennsylvania Electric Company is preparing for its fourth significant storm within 12 days, anticipating wind gusts up to 65 mph that could down trees and damage power lines across its four utility service zones in Pennsylvania.
The company is activating a substantial workforce, including additional lineworkers, forestry crews, hazard and damage assessment teams and support personnel, under its incident command structure to ensure 24/7 coordination and rapid response to outages.
Through its Energize365 initiative, FirstEnergy PA plans to invest approximately $13 billion between 2026 and 2030 in major system upgrades, tree trimming and aerial inspections to strengthen the grid against severe weather impacts.
Customers are advised to maintain emergency supplies, avoid downed lines and use multiple reporting channels—phone, text and online portals—to report outages and receive restoration updates.
