Fluor-JGC joint venture wins LNG Canada Phase 2 EPC contract, Fluor share US$7.5 billion
FLR•Fluor’s 50-50 joint venture with JGC won the engineering, procurement and construction contract for LNG Canada’s Phase 2 expansion. Fluor expects to book its US$7.5 billion share in the third quarter of fiscal 2026.
1. Phase 2 contract
The joint venture will deliver the expansion of LNG Canada’s export facility in Kitimat, British Columbia. Its scope includes engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction and commissioning; a notice to proceed followed LNG Canada’s final investment decision.
2. Expansion plans
Phase 2 adds an LNG storage tank and two liquefaction trains, targeting capacity of about 28 million tonnes per annum. Phase 1 began producing LNG in June 2025, and facility handover was completed in October 2025.
