Strategic cooperation for autonomous defense systems
Foresight Autonomous signed a strategic cooperation agreement with VisionWave to develop AI-enabled autonomous defense systems.
The deal targets integration of Foresight’s stereoscopic 3D perception, visible-light cameras and infrared sensing into VisionWave’s VARAN modular unmanned ground vehicle.
The parties plan to jointly develop an autonomy-enabled VARAN UGV, subject to definitive agreements on milestones, commercial terms and manufacturing.
Business development will focus on Asian defense markets including South Korea, Japan and India; VisionWave can market Foresight-based military solutions globally.
The companies have set up a joint steering committee for development, demonstrations, proof-of-concept programs, customer evaluations and commercialization planning.
