Fortum shares rise after Google power purchase deal
Shares in Fortum FORTUM rise 7.5% after the Finnish energy group signed a long-term power purchase agreement with Google GOOGL.O.
The deal secures nuclear power for Google investments for 22 years and will improve Fortum's comparable return on net assets by about 1.4 pp over time, the Finnish company says.
Google says it will invest €13 billion ($15 billion) in Finland in a data centre and related infrastructure within the next two years.
Fortum shares rise to the top of STOXX 600 .STOXX and are set for best day since September 2022.
