Franklin Templeton names Rene Buehlmann head of Asia Pacific

Templeton Asset Management appointed Rene Buehlmann as head of Asia Pacific, effective Sept. 21, 2026.
He will lead the region’s business, steering strategic growth initiatives, client engagement and business development.
Buehlmann most recently advised KKR on potential wealth and asset management acquisitions. He previously served as global CEO of Aberdeen Investments. Earlier, he spent nearly three decades at UBS, including as head of asset management Asia Pacific.
