Freddie Mac publishes July 2026 monthly volume summary report

Freddie Mac released its Monthly Volume Summary for July 2026, showing the total mortgage portfolio rose at a 1.8% annualized rate.

• Mortgage-related investments portfolio increased by about $1.2 billion in July to $139.73 billion.
• July mortgage-related investments activity: purchases $32.47 billion; sales $30.16 billion; liquidations $1.15 billion.
• Guarantee portfolio grew at a 1.1% annualized rate in July to $3.58 trillion, with $37.67 billion of issuances.
• Single-family delinquency rate eased to 0.59% in July from 0.6% in June; multifamily rose to 0.6% from 0.51%.
