Freedom Boat Club, a Brunswick business, has purchased the Greater Boston & Cape Cod franchise operations, encompassing 21 club locations across the region. The deal includes a 7,200-square-foot Maintenance Operations Center and an on-site dealership, bolstering Freedom’s capacity for fleet maintenance and resale.

This acquisition deepens Freedom’s corporate-owned footprint in the Northeast, aligning with its strategy to capture high-demand boating markets. The added maintenance hub will serve as a regional service anchor, improving operational efficiency and supporting future membership growth.

Franchise founders Matt Carrick and Matt O’Connor will exit the acquired locations but continue as active franchisees in New Jersey, Ohio and Pittsburgh. Their ongoing involvement in other markets aims to leverage their operational expertise and sustain network-wide performance.
