French President Macron to chair G7 leaders' videocall this Friday on energy markets

Macron will chair a video call with G7 counterparts at 2:30 p.m. local time to discuss possible measures on world markets for crude and refined products, the Elysee Palace said. He spoke separately overnight with U.S. President Donald Trump and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney about the issue.
2. Diesel stockpiles
France has asked its EU partners to release additional diesel stockpiles, a source familiar with the discussion said, following U.S. pressure on European nations to release more supplies in an attempt to reduce surging fuel prices.
