Frontier Nuclear Eyes Mid-Q3 2026 Engo Valley MRE After 5,565 m Drilling
Frontier Nuclear plans a maiden mineral resource estimate for its Engo Valley uranium project by mid-Q3 2026 after 5,565 m of Phase 2 drilling and 1,237 assays. U.S. policy now designates uranium a Critical Mineral and aims to quadruple nuclear capacity to 400 GW by 2050, raising demand to 190 mln lb/year.
1. Engo Valley Project Advances to Maiden MRE
Frontier Nuclear has completed a Phase 2 drill program at Engo Valley totaling 5,565 m in 57 holes, generating 1,237 chemical assays and downhole radiometrics. The company is finalizing its maiden mineral resource estimate in accordance with Regulation S-K Subpart 1300, targeting mid-Q3 2026 for release.
2. U.S. Nuclear Policy Drives Demand
Uranium’s designation as a Critical Mineral unlocks federal loan and grant programs, while executive directives aim to build U.S. nuclear capacity to 400 GW by 2050. These measures are forecast to lift annual uranium needs from 47 mln lb to 190 mln lb, underpinning imports from stable jurisdictions like Namibia.
3. Next Exploration Phase Planned
While the MRE is being prepared, Frontier is mapping and sampling prospective northern and southern targets identified by its 2024 radon cup survey. Additional drilling on the MUO and D1 zones will further delineate uranium mineralization open along strike, supporting long-term development plans.
