FTAI Aviation signs multi-year engine exchange deal with United Airlines for CFM56-7B fleet
FTAI•FTAI Aviation signed a multi-year maintenance, repair and exchange agreement with United Airlines covering CFM56-7B engines. The initial engine group starts in 2026, with planned expansion as more engines reach scheduled removals.
1. Exchange agreement
The agreement expands FTAI Aviation’s existing engine exchange relationship with United, which began with the airline’s V2500-powered fleet. FTAI will provide serviceable engines in exchange for United’s unserviceable units, and will add acquired engines to inventory for its maintenance, repair and overhaul network.
