GAME•GameSquare will produce Soldier Showdown 8, a seven-year legacy esports tournament for active-duty Army personnel, featuring Call of Duty: Warzone and Fortnite, with competition running July through October and live finals at its Frisco esports facility. 1. GameSquare and U.S. Army MWR Partnership
GameSquare has teamed with the U.S. Army Installation Management Command’s Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation directorate to produce Soldier Showdown 8, marking the eighth annual edition of this cross-platform military esports tournament, with USAA as presenting sponsor.
2. Tournament Structure and Schedule
Soldier Showdown 8 will feature Call of Duty: Warzone and Fortnite, with signups opening June 25 for active-duty Army, National Guard and Reserve members; tournament play runs July through October, culminating in live finals at FaZe Esports HQ in Frisco, Texas, with prizes from the Exchange.
