Gates Foundation discloses new FedEx Freight, Home Depot stakes

PROVIDENCE, Rhode Island, Aug. 14 (Reuters) - The Gates Foundation reported new stakes in FedEx Freight Holding and Home Depot and trimmed its holding in Berkshire Hathaway, an SEC filing showed on Friday.
The foundation, overseen by Microsoft founder Bill Gates and his ex-wife, Melinda French Gates, disclosed in its quarterly 13-F filing that as of June 30 it had accumulated a position of 1.2 million shares in FedEx Freight Holding, valued at $180 million, and a 1 million-share stake in Home Depot, valued at $352.7 million.
In the 13F filing the foundation also disclosed that it had sold 2.35 million shares in Berkshire Hathaway during the second quarter, reducing its stake in Warren Buffett's holding company by 13.8%.
