GE Vernova, Hitachi, Samsung C&T, SGE sign MoU to advance BWRX-300 SMR deployment in Europe, UK
GEV•GEV•GEV•GEV•GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy will provide the BWRX-300 design and technology, while Samsung C&T will support engineering and construction delivery.
SGE will remain the exclusive regional lead across much of Central and Eastern Europe, pursuing a standardized cross-border reactor fleet.
The BWRX-300 is a 300 MW SMR, and the first unit is under construction in Canada.
GE Vernova signed an MoU with SGE, Hitachi and Samsung C&T to pursue BWRX-300 small modular reactor fleet deployment in Europe.
The partnership targets market development, deployment strategy and commercial opportunities in Central and Eastern Europe and the UK.
