Vista Energy's Argentina unit taps bond market for $400 million

- Vista Energy Argentina's bonds will be issued as additional notes to its existing $500 million 7.875% senior notes due 2038, lifting the total size of that bond series to $900 million.
- Unlike a typical bullet bond, the notes will repay principal in three annual installments: 33% in 2036, 33% in 2037 and 34% in 2038.
- Vista Argentina is engaged in hydrocarbon exploration and production, with a portfolio centered on Vaca Muerta, one of the world's largest shale plays outside North America.
Vista Argentina prices $400 million add-on bond issue
MEXICO CITY, Sept. 22 (Reuters) - Vista Energy's Argentine subsidiary has priced a $400 million add-on bond issue, the firm said on Tuesday, expanding its 2038 debt line as the shale-focused producer continues to fund operations in Argentina.
The notes carry a 7.875% coupon, were sold at 99.473 cents on the dollar, and yield 7.95% to average life. Closing is expected on October 9.
