Gen-ECB Battery Survives –80°C to +60°C, Drives Solidion Stocks Up 200%
STI•Solidion Technology revealed its Generation Extreme-Climate Battery platform operable from –80°C to +60°C, leveraging graphene for thermal regulation and surviving over 500 charge cycles at –40°C. Shares jumped 200% after the space-ready system was pitched for satellite networks, lunar missions and AI data centers in low Earth orbit.
1. Gen-ECB Unveiled and Stock Rally
On June 4, Solidion Technology introduced its Generation Extreme-Climate Battery platform designed for space applications and extreme environments, triggering a 200% surge in its share price following the announcement.
2. Extreme-Climate Performance
The Gen-ECB system operates from –80°C to +60°C by using graphene’s high thermal conductivity and radiation resistance, preventing thermal runaway and demonstrating over 500 complete charge cycles at –40°C.
3. Advanced Battery Portfolio
Beyond Gen-ECB, Solidion is advancing silicon-rich all-solid-state lithium-ion cells, anode-less lithium metal batteries and lithium-sulfur models achieving energy densities above 380 Wh/kg, all featuring non-flammable solid electrolytes for improved safety.
4. Targeting Space Infrastructure
Solidion is in discussions with aerospace partners to integrate its battery platforms into satellite constellations, lunar exploration vehicles, SpaceX Starship missions, NASA’s Artemis programme and AI-powered low Earth orbit data centers.
