Genentech’s divarasib cuts death risk 44% versus standard treatments in phase III lung cancer trial

1. Trial results
In previously treated patients with KRAS G12C-mutated non-small cell lung cancer, divarasib outperformed sotorasib or adagrasib in the phase III Krascendo 1 trial. Patients receiving divarasib lived longer and experienced delayed disease progression; no new safety signals emerged, and fewer patients stopped treatment because of treatment-related adverse events. Results were presented at the 2026 ESMO Congress and published simultaneously in The New England Journal of Medicine.
