General Mills Names Dana McNabb COO, Expands Oversight to All Segments

General Mills has promoted Dana McNabb to Chief Operating Officer effective June 1, 2026, expanding her reporting line to Chairman and CEO Jeff Harmening and adding her to the board of directors. She will add oversight of International, North America Foodservice, Digital & Technology, Innovation, Strategy and Supply Chain to her existing leadership of North America Retail since 2024 and North America Pet since 2025.

Dana McNabb will assume the role of Chief Operating Officer on June 1, 2026, reporting directly to Chairman and CEO Jeff Harmening and joining General Mills’ board of directors.

2. Expanded Operating Oversight

In her new role, McNabb will oversee all operating segments and key functions, including International, North America Foodservice, Digital & Technology, Innovation, Technology & Quality, Strategy and Growth, Supply Chain, in addition to her current North America Retail and Pet responsibilities.

3. Career and Experience

McNabb has served as Group President of North America Retail since 2024 and added North America Pet in 2025. She previously held roles as Chief Strategy & Growth Officer, Group President of Europe & Australia, President of the U.S. Cereal unit and Vice President of Global Marketing for the CPW joint venture.

The appointment aligns with General Mills’ Accelerate strategy by consolidating global operations under a proven strategic leader, aiming to reinvigorate brands and restore profitable growth across its diversified portfolio.
