Genfit plans Phase 2 trial of nangibotide in acute-on-chronic liver failure

Genfit plans to present clinical data on November 8, 2026, supporting advancement of nangibotide into a Phase 2 trial for acute-on-chronic liver failure. Previous studies in other indications provided safety data and promising efficacy signals across multiple organ systems.
Presentations on November 6 will show additional evidence of nitazoxanide’s anti-inflammatory activity from clinical blood samples, supporting its development for acute-on-chronic liver failure. A separate panel will discuss NIS non-invasive diagnostics for identifying at-risk MASH patients and monitoring treatment response.
