In 2025 Georgia Power hired over 200 lineworkers and plans to recruit approximately 200 annually to support more than 1,000 miles of new transmission infrastructure under its 10-year Integrated Resource Plan. Its 2025 Grid Investment Program delivered 104 distribution projects and advanced 25 transmission upgrades, improving reliability for over 504,000 customers.

2. Workforce Expansion and Hiring Targets
The utility hired over 200 lineworkers in 2025 and plans to recruit approximately 200 annually through expanded partnerships with technical colleges and its multi-year apprenticeship program to fill critical roles.

The Georgia Public Service Commission-approved Integrated Resource Plan includes more than 1,000 miles of new transmission infrastructure over ten years to enhance grid efficiency, resilience and support continued state growth.
4. Grid Investment Program Outcomes
In 2025 the Grid Investment Program delivered 104 distribution projects (beating an 88-project target) and advanced 25 major transmission projects, including five line upgrades and 20 substation enhancements, improving reliability for over 504,000 customers.
