Getty Images will offer three paid 2026 internships in News, Sport and Entertainment photography across Washington D.C., New York and Los Angeles with support from Canon. Selected interns receive hands-on editorial experience, mentorship, Canon EOS equipment access and guaranteed portfolio placement or staff consideration.

1. Program Extended for 2026

Getty Images has launched its third annual Editorial Photography Internship Program for 2026, offering three paid positions focused on News, Sport and Entertainment photography. The program is backed by Canon U.S.A., ensuring participants have access to industry-standard imaging equipment.

2. Comprehensive Hands-On Experience

Interns will collaborate with Getty Images photographers, videographers and editors on real-world assignments, learning the full editorial workflow from event assignment and client relations to video and photo editing and major event production. Ongoing professional mentorship will guide interns in developing technical and storytelling skills.

3. Locations, Timelines and Outcomes

The internships run from May through December 2026 in Washington D.C. (News), New York (Sport) and Los Angeles (Entertainment). Upon completion, interns receive portfolio and media placement, professional recommendations and consideration for preferred-provider status or potential staff positions.
