Glass House Brands Completes First European CBD Biomass Sale from Greenhouse 4
GLAS•Glass House Brands completed its first export of smokeable CBD biomass to European markets on July 7, leveraging 2025’s initial harvest from Camarillo Farm’s Greenhouse 4. The California-compliant biomass will also feed planned U.S. Medicare-reimbursable CBD supply and inform R&D and brand development ahead of European medical cannabis launches.
1. First International CBD Biomass Sale
On July 7, Glass House Brands executed its inaugural international sale of smokeable CBD biomass, shipping material harvested from Greenhouse 4 at its Camarillo Farm. This move marks the first shipment of any Glass House product outside California and demonstrates the company’s entry into European distribution channels.
2. Regulatory Compliance and U.S. Program Positioning
All biomass from Greenhouse 4 meets California regulations and remains sellable under the proposed federal intoxicating hemp ban. Glass House is positioning this output for future inclusion in a projected Medicare-reimbursable CBD program, anticipating new addressable markets in the U.S.
3. Strategic R&D and European Medical Plans
The company intends to leverage initial European sales data for R&D and brand development, paving the way for near-term medical cannabis sales in Europe. Collaboration with UC Berkeley on novel cannabinoid products further underpins Glass House’s strategy for expanded medical offerings.
