GlobalFoundries Launches AutoPro150 eMRAM on FDX Platform with 500k-Cycle Endurance

GFSGFS

GlobalFoundries has released its AutoPro150 embedded MRAM technology on the ultra-low power FDX platform, offering up to 500,000 read/write cycles, sub-10ns read speeds and rugged operation to 150°C. A process design kit is available now, with volume production slated for H2 2026 from GF’s Dresden facility.

1. Technology Highlights

The FDX+AutoPro150 eMRAM integrates with GlobalFoundries’ ultra-low power FDX platform to deliver 500,000 cycle endurance, sub-10 nanosecond read speeds and reliable operation in environments up to 150°C, addressing magnetic field effects for high-density, non-volatile memory on SoC designs.

2. Automotive Applications

Embedded MRAM is targeted at Tier 1 OEM microcontroller units for software-defined vehicles and advanced driver assistance systems, enabling real-time processing for safety-critical functions, over-the-air updates and future Physical AI systems such as autonomous vehicles and humanoid robots.

3. Production and Timeline

A process design kit for FDX+AutoPro150 eMRAM is now accessible via GF Connect, with volume manufacturing scheduled for the second half of 2026 at GlobalFoundries’ Dresden site to support several key customer engagements.
