Newmont, Barrick and other miners decline
Top miner Newmont and Barrick Mining were down 1.5% and 2.7%, respectively.
U.S.-listed shares of South African miners Gold Fields, AngloGold Ashanti and Harmony Gold declined between about 1% and 2.3%.
Canadian miners Agnico Eagle Mines and Kinross Gold fell 2.4% and 2.1%, respectively.
