Goldwind-powered Ummbila Emoyeni wind farm phase one in South Africa enters commercial operation at 155 MW

Goldwind’s installed capacity in South Africa is projected to exceed 2.2 GW by Q2 2027.
Phase one begins commercial operation
Goldwind’s 155 MW Ummbila Emoyeni Wind Farm Phase One in South Africa entered commercial operation using 25 GWH182-6.2 MW turbines.
The Ummbila renewable hub targets 750 MW wind, 150 MW solar PV, and 800 MWh storage; full completion is slated for 2027.
Goldwind signed a cooperation agreement with Seriti Green for Phase 4, extending the partners’ long-term project pipeline.
