Google Brings Gemini 3.1 AI to Chrome in Three Countries, Secures Canal+ AI Deal
Google has integrated Gemini 3.1 AI into Chrome on desktop, iOS and Android in India, New Zealand and Canada, adding support for over 50 languages. Canal+ signed a multi-year Google Cloud AI deal to use Veo 3 for film production and content indexing in Europe and Africa starting June 2026.
1. Chrome AI Integration in India, New Zealand and Canada
Google has embedded Gemini 3.1 AI directly into Chrome’s desktop and iOS apps and enabled Android activation via the power button. This rollout includes over 50 additional languages, enhancing search summaries, content guidance and task automation for users in India, New Zealand and Canada.
2. Canal+ Adopts Google Cloud AI
Canal+ has entered a multi-year agreement to deploy Google Cloud AI tools, notably the Veo 3 video AI, to assist film teams with shot planning and scene visualization. The deal also covers AI-driven content indexing in Europe and Africa, with implementation scheduled to begin in June 2026.
