Google will establish its first dedicated AI campus in Seoul by end-2026 under a memorandum with South Korea’s government. The campus, housed within existing offices, will staff at least ten U.S.-based engineers and collaborate with local universities and industry partners on advanced AI research in areas like climate and life sciences.
2. Joining SoftBank’s 10-Gigawatt Ohio Data Center Project
Google has committed to lease capacity in SoftBank’s planned 10-gigawatt AI data center in Ohio, participating in a shared infrastructure model. The project targets up to $500 billion in total investment and aims to secure massive compute power to support escalating AI workloads.
