Gorilla Technology Establishes Institutional Capital Platform for AI, Data Centers
GRRR•On July 1, 2026, Gorilla Technology Group completed its acquisition of UK-based Shackleton Finance Limited, establishing Gorilla Tech Capital as a regulated capital platform. The unit will raise pension, sovereign and institutional funds to finance AI infrastructure, data centers and GPU-as-a-Service projects, reducing equity dilution.
1. Completion of Acquisition and Launch
On July 1, 2026, Gorilla Technology Group finalized its purchase of Shackleton Finance Limited and rebranded the firm as Gorilla Tech Capital. The platform, authorised by the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority, creates a regulated vehicle for mobilising institutional capital into the company’s digital infrastructure initiatives.
2. Institutional Capital Mobilization
Gorilla Tech Capital will target pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, insurers and family offices to secure long-term financing for AI compute, data center expansions and GPU-as-a-Service deployments. Using fund structures and project-specific vehicles, it aims to channel capital into contracted or near-contracted opportunities across cybersecurity, smart infrastructure and related digital assets.
3. Strategic Financing Benefits
The new platform complements Gorilla’s existing funding mix—project finance, customer prepayments, vendor financing and strategic partnerships—by reducing reliance on dilutive equity issuances. This approach is designed to accelerate delivery of large-scale projects while preserving shareholder value through non-dilutive capital sources.
