GRAINS-CBOT wheat turns lower; corn, soybean futures see thin trading day
DBA•Corn and soybeans trade near unchanged
CBOT corn and soybeans traded either side of unchanged in light trading volumes, with prices hovering near multi-week lows as improving crop weather in the U.S. Midwest weighed on prices.
Forecasts for rainfall to return to the Midwest over the next 10 days have eased some drought concerns for developing corn and soy crops, traders said.
The most-traded CBOT corn contract Cv1 was down 0.11% at $4.59-1/2 a bushel at 10:44 a.m. CDT (1544 GMT), while soybeans Sv1 were unchanged at $11.74-3/4 a bushel.
Wheat turns lower in technical trading
Chicago Board of Trade wheat futures turned lower on Thursday as traders shed positions in technical moves amid continued uncertainty over global supplies and Black Sea export disruptions, market analysts said.
