Gran Tierra says Azerbaijan parliament ratifies onshore Guba-Khazaryani production-sharing deal
GTE•Azerbaijan’s parliament ratified Gran Tierra Energy’s onshore exploration, development and production-sharing agreement for Guba-Khazaryani. Gran Tierra operates the contract with a 65% working interest.
1. Agreement and survey
The agreement with SOCAR was signed on Feb. 18, 2026. Gran Tierra completed an airborne digital full tensor gradiometry survey covering 4,815 square kilometers across 5,775 line-kilometers; it plans to integrate the data with existing seismic and well information to target future seismic acquisition, exploration drilling and appraisal drilling.
