Grifols says Canada plasma license suspension has no impact on ongoing operations

Health Canada suspended the Taylor Avenue facility's license after raising concerns about its quality management system following a donor's death last year. Grifols said donor and patient safety and the quality of plasma collected at the facility and its other Canadian centers had not been compromised.
2. Company response
Grifols said it was working with Health Canada on a reopening plan. The company said it had reviewed operations across its centers, including staff retraining and improvements to procedures and quality systems.
3. Ownership changes
Grifols said it accelerated its acquisition of the remaining stake in Canada Plasma Inc. after deficiencies were identified at several donation centers, giving it full management control of the business.
