Guardian Metal Uncovers 13.68m at 0.31% WO₃ in New Tungsten Zone
GMTL•Guardian Metal Resources identified a new tungsten-bearing Tremor Zone at Pilot Mountain, encountering 13.68 meters grading 0.31% WO₃ within condemnation drilling and confirming mineralisation over a 400-meter strike length. The discovery lies in a royalty-free section, potentially enhancing long-term project economics and U.S. critical mineral supply security.
1. New Tungsten Target Identified
Guardian Metal Resources has discovered a previously unrecognised tungsten-bearing zone, dubbed the Tremor Zone, at its wholly owned Pilot Mountain project in Nevada. This new area of mineralisation lies outside the project’s existing resource base and was encountered during condemnation drilling for infrastructure planning.
2. Drill Results and Geological Extent
Initial drilling in hole PMR26-077 returned 13.68 meters grading 0.31% WO₃ from a shallow depth, while subsequent visual logging in follow-up holes confirmed tungsten-rich skarn mineralisation over a strike length of approximately 400 meters. The Tremor Zone remains open in multiple directions, indicating significant exploration upside.
3. Economic and Strategic Significance
The Tremor Zone occurs in a royalty-free section of the Pilot Mountain property, which could enhance its long-term economic value. Although too late for inclusion in the current pre-feasibility study, the discovery strengthens the project’s potential role in securing domestic tungsten supplies for defence, aerospace and industrial applications.
4. Financial and Project Status
Guardian Metal continues to operate in a development phase with limited revenue generation and ongoing losses but benefits from a debt-free balance sheet. The company’s shares trade above key long-term moving averages despite weaker momentum indicators, reflecting mixed market sentiment.
