Kevin O’Connor to become president at Hanover Bancorp and Hanover Community Bank

Hanover Bancorp named Kevin O’Connor president of the company and Hanover Community Bank, effective July 27, 2026.

He is tasked with driving expansion across Long Island, with a focus on client relationships and new business opportunities.

O’Connor most recently served as Long Island market president at Valley Bank. He previously led Dime Community Bank as CEO, following its merger with Bridgehampton National Bank.

Michael P. Puorro remains chairman, president, and CEO.
