HASI-backed Neogenyx Builds 8-Digester RNG Plant in Nebraska Producing 1.2M MMBtu

HASIHASI

Neogenyx Fuels, partly owned by HASI, has started an 8-digester RNG facility in Nebraska to produce 1.2 million MMBtu/year of pipeline-quality RNG. The project will avoid 63,700 metric tons of CO₂ annually and raises Neogenyx’s non-electric portfolio to over 13.2 million MMBtu/year capacity.

1. Project Initiation

Neogenyx Fuels and Adams Land & Cattle have commenced construction of an agricultural RNG facility at the Broken Bow, Nebraska feedlot. This marks Neogenyx’s first venture into agricultural biogas projects underlining HASI’s commitment to expanding its renewable natural gas assets.

2. Technical Specifications

The plant will utilize eight anaerobic digesters to convert manure into over 4,400 SCFM of biogas, upgrading it into approximately 1.2 million MMBtu per year of pipeline-quality RNG. Digestate solids and liquids will be repurposed onsite as livestock bedding and fertilizer.

3. Portfolio and Environmental Impact

Upon completion, this facility raises Neogenyx’s non-electric portfolio to more than 13.2 million MMBtu per year of capacity. The project is expected to avoid around 63,700 metric tons of CO₂ annually, supporting rural economic growth and reinforcing HASI’s sustainable infrastructure investment profile.
