Hawthorn Bancshares Q2 FY26 net income rises 20.1% to $7.3 million; EPS climbs 20% to $1.06

Hawthorn Bancshares posted Q2 2026 net income of $7.3 million, up 20.1% from the year-earlier quarter; EPS rose 20% to $1.06.
Net interest margin (FTE) widened 9 basis points from Q1 to 4.16%, while net interest income edged up to $17.3 million.
Non-interest income, balance sheet and capital actions
Non-interest income more than doubled from Q1 to $5.3 million, driven by a gain on the sale of an unused administrative office.
Loans fell 2.6% from Q1 to $1.42 billion, while deposits slid 2% to $1.49 billion; investment securities climbed 12% to $236.2 million.
The board raised the share repurchase authorization to $10 million; it also set a $0.21 quarterly dividend payable Oct. 1.
