U.S. Bancorp's Elavon survey, conducted in March and April 2026, found that fragmented payments constrain healthcare financial performance. Some 76% of respondents spend 5% to 20% of staff time managing exceptions or correcting errors. Nearly all plan to explore AI in patient payment operations, and 56% prioritize scalability when evaluating strategic partners.
