Under the enhanced partnership, Hyundai AutoEver has reduced its map data update cycle by more than fivefold. Leveraging HERE’s unified mapping architecture—which fuses inputs from over 44 million connected vehicles, roadside sensors and community contributions—the company now delivers new roads, revised speed limits and updated points of interest to drivers in near-real time. This operational improvement will improve route accuracy, reduce customer complaints linked to outdated navigation data, and lower support costs related to map corrections. The collaboration lays the groundwork for HYMTF’s broader strategy to transition toward software-defined vehicles. Future phases will integrate lane-level guidance, ADAS support and live map rendering via HERE’s flexible APIs and SDKs, enabling features such as Navigation on Autopilot and AI-driven cockpit experiences like natural language route planning. By aligning with Hyundai Motor Group’s vision of connected, personalized journeys, HYMTF stands to differentiate its in-vehicle offering and capture a larger share of the emerging digital cockpit market. At CES 2026, HERE Technologies and Hyundai AutoEver announced an expansion of their online navigation collaboration, directly benefiting HYMTF by embedding HERE’s automotive-grade maps into the ccNC and ccIC27 infotainment platforms of Hyundai, Kia and Genesis vehicles. Counterpoint Research confirms HERE has led the global location platform market for eight consecutive years, and this deal extends real-time map updates and location services to over one million vehicles in North America and Australia, supporting safer and more intelligent travel experiences for HYMTF customers.
